*see what I did there?

Recently the Battling On tribe were invited to Millet’s Farm, nr Abingdon, Oxfordshire for the grand opening of their Maize Maze and they were putting on a bit of a ‘do’.

The theme for this year’s maize is ‘Clowning About On the Farm’ and the Maize has been planted using GPS technology to make the most incredible image:

We’ve been to Maize Mazes before, although nowhere near this size, but been a little put off at the height – for kids it can feel quite intimidating.  This year at Millet’s Farm, the maize is standing at around five foot tall, so most adults can see over it easily (although that in no way makes it easier to work out which way to go!) and children don’t feel so enclosed – we thought it was ideal.

There are three mazes of differing sizes.  I did the smallest with my two girls (aged 3 and 5) and my husband took our 8yo into the medium sized one – the biggest was more than any of us could cope with! They do torchlit sessions as well, which would be great for the slightly older children / teenagers.

There’s lots of other things to do as well, including a sandpit, trampolines and mini tractors all centred around a picnic area so you could easily spend a happy afternoon there.

We shared the day with some fab bloggers who’ve already written their reviews, and done a much better job than me so do go and have a look at what they thought:-

Yuri aka Urbanvox

Catherine aka Baby Genie

Pippa aka A Mothers Ramblings

Emma aka Me, The Man & The Baby

Hayley aka Single Mummy

Vic aka Glowstars

So, after seeing all that you must be desperate to get along there yourself….well you can!  I’ve got five family tickets to give away.  All you have to do is email me the answer to this question before 9am on Friday 6th August.  The winners will be chosen at random – probably using the highly technical “names in bucket picked out by 3yo” method and I’ll let you know in a round-up post here later that day.

So *drum roll* here’s the question:

What is the theme of the Maize Maze at Millet’s Farm?

Email me here to be in with a chance to win, giving me your name, address, telephone number and email address.

Good Luck!!
