This week on the Gallery Tara has chosen the theme ‘Celebration’.  So easy and yet so, not. There are so many celebratory pictures that I could have chosen but I wanted to try something a little bit different.

When I first started blogging in July last year I had absolutely no clue what it meant.  I knew I loved writing and that it might be a good medium for me to explore and yet the first few months were a bit, well, meh…

In January 2010 I changed tack, and finally made my blog into the personal story I had probably always wanted it to be. I wrote this for Josie’s writing workshop, more revelationary than I had imagined I could be, and it opened up into a whole new experience. Suddenly I saw that there was a community of bloggers and that I could be a part of that, and slowly over the proceeding months that’s what happened.

This post is dedicated to all of you – to the many bloggers I’ve met, both virtually and in real life.  So many of you have inspired me, supported me, laughed at and with me and often made me cry.  I dip in and out of lots of blogs and many of my favourites are in this image – can you see yourself?

If you’re not there, take a second to tell me about your blog, leave me a link and I’ll come and check it out.  Let’s continue to celebrate all that is good about this little community of ours:

I wish I could have done something really wizzy and created hyperlinks from each image….I didn’t but if I get the chance I’ll write a big old linky post telling you all about each blog and why I love it.

A bloggy good celebration…

Great idea, Paula. I got dragged into blogging, kicking and screaming and now I’m obsessed. I feel so blessed to be able to do this and know all these fantastic people.

    Thank you.

What a lovely tribute. I started blogging a couple of months ago, and have enjoyed meeting fellow bloggers. It’s a generous, passionate, creative bunch. So much talent out there. WordPress makes the experience easy and engaging. Can’t say enough about it all. Come see my photos….

It worked! It’s lovely. And thank you. I’ve been amazed and another word to do with being overwhelmingly pleased (what? It’s early) about the friendships that I’ve made through blogging and just how blinking wonderful it all is. You’ve cheered me up. And now I need a coffee x

What a great idea. I recognise quite a lot of those, but not all of them. I’m relatively new to blogging and I’ve found it a much deeper, richer world than I expected! It’s been a revelation how many talented people are out there, revealing themselves and their thoughts in interesting ways.

Proud to be included, lovely lady, and I’ll celebrate you as a bloggy friend any day. You know you’ve been a great support to me.

I met some fabulous people behind blogs I’d read for years on Monday night who have inspired me to try harder to make my blog more of my personal story. And this post is another reason to get off my backside and do it.

For me, blogging is all about the friends. I’m not a writer, unlike so many of you, but the people I have met online are awe inspiring. Love you all xxx
